As of January 1 2010 we made various changes to our pet boarding policies. We no longer consider ourselves a 'public" facility. This is the home and kennel of Spirit Rider Golden Retrievers and we are only offering exclusive care to dogs that meet our criteria and as always the goldens that we have bred and sold. Our facility is a family operation that is located in the country for it's atmosphere and privacy. We live on the premises so we ask that you try to respect our family's privacy and lifestyle. I have many years experience dealing with animals and show, train and breed registered Golden Retrievers. I am a member of the Canadian Kennel Club and various other animal breed clubs and have operated the boarding kennel since 1994 and our dogs' needs come first.
We only accept dogs that are well socialized with people and other dogs.
One dog-$25  Two dogs/same run - $35  Three dogs/same run - $45
We charge like a hotel does. The first day you book in is the first days charge. If you check out before noon on the day out, there is no charge for that day.
Goldens we have bred receive a discounted rate!

Accommodations
There are solid six foot walls dividing the suites inside so the dogs can eat and sleep in private, but they can still see out their front door. They range from 32 - 48 square feet. Each run has a door that the dogs can open themselves to their own outside covered run. All dogs are contained inside at night for safety. The floors are heated as well.
Your dog must arrive and depart on a regular leash.
While some dogs are quite happy to be alone, other dogs handle their time away from home better with the chance to run and play with other dogs of similar temperment and size. This is only allowed after careful observation of your dog, your permission and only under supervision. Many owners say it is like sending their dog to camp as the play yard has toys and items to play on for exercise. It provides relief of anxiety and boredom and enhances their vacation as well.
Feeding
We prefer you bring the food your pet is accustomed to. However, we will not feed poor quality foods and treats that contain colours,excessive grains salts and sugars that produce excessive gas, poop and contain too many additives.If we find it necessary to supplement or you wish us to feed, we use only quality foods.

Vaccination Papers Required
- All dogs must have current vaccinations. (Current does not mean yearly).Vaccinations should be done a minimum of two weeks before your expected boarding date. Bordetella vaccine is optional due to complications. It must be done a minimum of 2 weeks in advance. Please call for more info.
 What to pack
- Proof of vaccination papers-no exceptions.
- There is no need to bring bowls, as we provide non-toxic stainless steel bowls.
- Feel free to bring toys or safe chewables (no greenies) for your pets. We give wholesome natural snacks at bedtime and any time someone needs a little extra loving.
- Please leave us a phone number where you can be contacted in case of emergency.
- If someone else is picking up your pet, please leave us their name and phone number. No pet will be released unpaid or without your authorization.
-For health reasons we do not accept any pet bedding or crates. We provide comfortable, suitable bedding.
